Impact Assmessment & Sustainable Cotton Standards

Danish Ethical Trading Initiative invites CSR professionals and Impact/M&E experts in private and public companies, business associations, NGOs, and trade unions to a dialogue meeting about Impact Measurement, Tuesday January 30 2018 at 13:00 - 15:00 at DIEH.

In collaboration with IDH the sustainable trade initiative, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Better Cotton Initiative, we will discuss challenges, opportunities and best practices in relation to impact assessments and sustainable cotton standards. International brands, NGOs, and consumers are inreasingly concerned about the materiales from which our clothes are made. However, multi stakeholder initiatives have only recently begun to improce the sustainability of global cotton production. What is behind the sustainable cotton MSI standards? Are they delivering the intended benefits and how do we assess their impacts?

Join us and learn more about impact assessments and sustainable cotton standards when Peter Lund-Thomsen, PhD Professor, Corporate Social Responsibility, CBS, Carla Romeu-Dalmau, Senior Manager and Impact Research, IDH, and Kendra Park Pasztor, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Better Cotton Initiative provide insight into challenges and opportunities.
