Multi-stakeholder workshop and report launch: Collaboration on strengthening practices in the Vietnamese cashew nut industry
Ethical Trading Initiative Norway (IEH) and Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) have the pleasure of inviting you to this multi-stakeholder workshop and report launch.
European retailers are expected to help safeguard decent working conditions and environmental stewardship in their supply chains. This is expected both by their customers and the United Nations through its Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
With the support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), Norwegian retailers and IEH have commissioned an assessment of the Vietnamese cashew nut industry. The Research Center for Employment Relations (ERC) has carried out the study, where a main purpose is identifying ways to help strengthen practices in cashew processing and farming, where any issues are found.
At this workshop you will learn about the findings of the study, good practices and suggested solutions. As a stakeholder, you are invited to participate in discussing practical solutions that may benefit both the local industry and its customers.
